During 23 - 27 November the DIBF will arrange a deaf basketball coaches clinic/seminar with participation of deaf basketball leaders from Bahamas, Puerto Rico and hopefully other islands in nearby. Mr Marvin Finlayson of Bahamian Deaf Basketball Organisation is the co-ordinator of this arrangement which is given economical support to by the Bahamian Government and also supported economically by the DIBF.

It is a try to break the isolation of deaf basketball and sports in the islands and to give the deaf people a chance to meet with deaf people from other parts of the world. An estimated number of 15-20 deaf participants are expected.

On the program of the clinic/seminar is: Basketball fundamental drills in shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defence and smaller plays. Theory sessions cover different leadership and pedagogical roles, doping questions, mental training, physiology, stretching, injuries with taping, game statistics and referees roles. There will also be information about international deaf basketball and sports organisations, building of organisations, approach to hearing basketball organisation and more.

Conductors of the clinic/seminar are DIBF Secretary General Mr Kjell Gunna, Sweden and DIBF Authorised Instructor Ms Laura Edwards, USA.
