FAREWELL

Today my very heart was touched
I saw the children of one loved so much
Say their goodbyes in a special way
To their father now gone and on his way
For his family there is much to adjust
For the family he loved so much
His leaving created the biggest space
Now he waits patiently for God’s grace
Almighty God please oversee
This wonderful family and hear their pleas
Help them trudge that long, long path
Watch over them, while the years pass
Today as my very heart was touched
I thought of those souls I love so much
Knowing everyone has to leave someday
And, wait patiently for ‘Judgement Day’
Until that day let us live and laugh
Support each other, that’s the task
Don’t walk your days wearing a mask
Always be true so love will last
