As you've proably read the thread in the tv/movies forum, "marvel continues to go hollywood" where a report is said that Fanastic Four would be released into theatres next summer.
Now the company who bought us the spider-man games since the orginal Playstation days will produce the FF game with all four characters to choose from...Mr. Fanastic, The Invisible, The Human Torch, and The Thing.
and It should be ready to be released when the movie date is near.
While navigating Activision's booth at the 2004 San Diego Comic-Con, we stumbled across quite an interesting find: a trailer for the Fantastic Four videogame at the end of a Spider-Man 2 commercial.
Though the game's existence isn't exactly news, the appearance of the trailer is; as it's the first time since August 2001 that Activision has officially confirmed anything at all on the elusive title.
The trailer itself, which was not allowed to be photographed, showed no gameplay footage whatsoever. What it did show, however, was a series of words that turned to rock, stretched, turned translucent, and burst into flame -- signifying the trademark powers of the Fantastic Four's superhero squad of The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch. The trailer concluded with the words "Summer 2005" and did a great job of psyching the crowd up.
When asked about specific gameplay elements, Activision reps declined to comment. Though, they did confirm that the game was planned for a simultaneous or near-simultaneous release with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie starring Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis later next year.
