I got this from Pittsburgh Deaf Newsletter Announcement.

My name is Debi Gilboa. I am a family doctor, and I was an ASL interpreter
here in Pittsburgh from 1994-2000, while I was in college and medical school
(my name was Debi Goldberg then). I left for a few years to do my family
medicine residency and to practice in a rural community. Recently I have
been hired at the brand new Squirrel Hill Health Center. This is a Federally
Qualified Health Center which means we accept just about evey type of
insurance AND see patients without insurance. I see children and adults and
pregnant patients. I see patients in the office, in the hospital and I make
house calls when needed. The Health Center is a fully accessible,
Deaf-friendly environment (there are even doorbells on each exam room door
that flash a light inside). I am trying to find a way to let the Deaf
community know that this new resource exists for anyone who needs a doctor
and would prefer to have one who signs, even if they don't have health
insurance. I am available to come and speak to groups, to give a talk on
some aspect of healthy living or to answer health questions, if you know of
any groups that would like to have me. If you have any suggestions, I'd be
grateful. If you'd like to contact me, Deb Hast has my numbers and address.
Thanks very much!

Sincerely,
Debi Gilboa, MD
