Currently, the sun is in the midst of the period designated as Cycle 24 and is ramping up toward the cycle's period of maximum activity. However, the recent findings indicate that the activity in the next 11-year solar cycle, Cycle 25, could be greatly reduced. In fact, some scientists are questioning whether this drop in activity could lead to a second Maunder Minimum, which was a 70-year period from 1645 to 1715 when the sun showed virtually no sunspots.

So, what happened climate-wise from 1645 to 1715?

And here in Texas where summer hasn't even started is already around 101 degrees for a week and they expect to continue for another week. :(

It ain't normal, I tell you.

If one could harness all the worry energy over this, a freaking fortune is guaranteed to be made. :cool2:

And having 200 to 300 percent above average snowpack in all of the western mountains in the U.S by mid-May is something to behold. Also, the Northwest's weather has been cooler than normal.....and summer is almost here. Crops are anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks behind.

Also, Iowa had the farm crops 2 weeks later than normal. It was kinda cold here then suddenly got hot in June with nearly 100 degrees. :dunno:

Seattle had about 9-10 inches above the normal average rainfall too.

What people do not realize is that global warming is about extreme weather. Just a couple days ago in Wichita, Kansas, it was 85 degrees at 12:22 am, and twenty minutes later the temperature rocketed to 102 degrees, believe it or not.

Here we lost about 90 percent crop of cherry because of cold weather. I am waiting to see about those peaches farms around here, I do not see much fruits on trees too. So sad for those farmers here. We are planning to go up in Sierra and I was shocked to learn most camping grounds are closed till June 24th before it usually open in May. I had a dream few weeks ago, we get snow on the west coast, mmm will it happens? who knows.

Yup, same goes in Alabama.

I was dehydrated and severe constipated on Sunday and yesterday so I have to drink a lot of water and shift the diet. It is hassle to use laxative to treat the constipation and it was painful as hell if not treated.

Already happened.

We having a Solar Storm this year?

don't freak out. chance is - you've went thru at least 10 solar flares in your lifetime. we're fine :)

I don't like to call it "Solar Storm" because that word is dramatized-version of scientific term (and inaccurate)
