That's very interesting about External PCIe, that's new to me.

I wouldn't mind to get one like that but only problem is 1 expresscard in MBP isn't enough because of external HDD with eSATA, 2 expresscard would be preferred then I have sticking with mobile GPU, plus I'm currently using external HDD with eSATA now.

Nice! I figured that they'll have external graphic card in the past and now it finally arrived. I am not quite understanding if it will take over mobile GPU (either bypassing it or set as "dual monitor" mode) and connect to Laptop's native monitor. Be nice if I can play graphic intensive Myst's URU or any other games. But problem is that you'll have to lug external graphic box around. Not worth it.

I would LOVE to see newer laptops have new powerful mobile GPU that would be upgradeable by popping card out and insert it (like Mini PCI-E card). Just like the way memory and wireless network card does. I know it would be a problem with heat issue unless it have screw hole to secure the GPU into heatpipe heatsink.
