Elderly Deaf Woman Robbed By Group Of Men In Belmont County - News Story - WTOV Steubenville
Belmont County police are searching for a group of men who robbed an 81-year-old deaf woman Wednesday night.
The victim, who lives outside of St. Clairsville, said about seven or so men robbed her in her home.
She said they smelled strongly of alcohol and thinks they were in a white car, but she said she wasn't sure.
"I can't hear or call on the phone," she said. "They said I should have called 911, but I don't know about this and that."
She said her purses, checkbook and all of her personal identification cards were stolen, including her Social Security card and pacemaker card.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
