early period while on pill

So i've been stressed out alot lately and ive lost some weight. Today i had pretty amazing sex (a bit rough:S) while we were having sex at the end he noticed i was bleeding..he thought he was at first, he was like ah! lol neways so i got my period and i am on the pill so its always regular it's been a day or two early b4 but i got it today and usually i wud be getting it next tuesday or wednesday...so i dunno whether i shud be concerned, maybe go on a stronger pill, or forget bout it?

It sounds like "break through bleeding." If that is what it is, the dosage on your pill needs to be changed to something a bit higher in estrogen. I'd make an appt. with the doctor. Please remember, though, that if you are getting break through bleeding, it means that there is also a chance that you could become pregnant while on this dose of pill, so you might want to use a condom, too.

Breakthrough bleeding is common during the first few months on B.C. and I agree those first few months use a condom.

Also if you skip or forget to take a pill and not take them regularly it also can cause breakthrough bleeding.



You also said you had rough sex. That can cause bleeding as well.

If you have any concerns go back and talk to your GYN.
