A woman charged with drunk driving in New Jersey started a chain reaction that landed two of her friends in jail…
The story begins after a woman was stopped and brought in on suspicion of driving under the influence. The woman called her friend to bail her out. When the second woman arrived to the station, a patrolman started explaining the potential liability form to her. As he was doing this, the officer noticed the woman displaying signs of intoxication and began administering sobriety tests in the lobby of the building. Since the woman drove to the station and failed the tests, she was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
With both drivers behind bars, they then called a mutual male friend for a ride home. Once the man arrived at the station an officer began explaining the same potential liability form. The officer quickly detected the odor of alcohol coming from the man and noticed that he appeared to be drunk. After failing the sobriety tests, the man was also charged with DWI.
The police reported that all three drivers were later released to a sober adult.
