A DEAF man has been fined after he was caught drink driving while unlicensed.
Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Jamie Lee Kelsosmith, 32, was caught driving about 2.10am with a blood alcohol reading of 0.078.
Kelsosmith once held a learner’s permit, but it had expired in 1997, and his car was unregistered and displaying plates which belonged to another vehicle.
He pleaded guilty, was fined $650 and was disqualified for four months.
Defence lawyer Alexis Oxley said her client, a tyre fitter, had no traffic history and no intention to get behind the wheel again.

he says he has NO intentions of getting behind a wheel again?? now that is dumb thing to say- he has to move cars around lot to do next vehicle. If something goes wrong and insurance gets involved, he is going to be fired so fast that his head will spin.
