If you live in the US, I am pretty sure you have heard of how hot the weather has been as of late. There are many states that have declared a drought emergency. Crops have been suffering as farmers are having difficulties operating at top capacity in bringing a plethora of fresh produce.

Here's a picture of how bad the drought is in certain states:

Yeah, the drought is moderate to severe here in Kentucky which is really unusual for here. It's like as if I'm in the west coast or something like that because all I see is a lot of dry grasses. The humid factor is crazy whereas the heat has scorched between 105 to 110 degrees.

This week, the relief has finally came with plenty of rain. Today was the first time I've mowed my yard in a month. I suppose I can't complain about it even if it means that I don't have to mow my yard that often.

We've been having rain right here in central Ohio...a lot of rain. :) more than 2 inches of rain last week...still under average of rain total for the year.

We have heavy rain in our area today that caused delay for me to shopping at grocery store.

I think I know you, Jolie. :)

Yeah, I have seen how bad the drought has affected the crops in the Midwest. Of course, you cannot complain if you don't have to mow your yard that often. Yet, it is good to keep it green if possible because curb appeal is important! Hehe.

Aw! Then you'll have to starve for the time being! JK. I don't like to go out in the rain when it is pouring cats and dogs. I am quite fine with heavy rain if I am to remain indoors. :)
