The deaf activist passed away on June 4, 2006 of stomach cancer.

He has made numerous positive contributions to the deaf society.

He is largely credited for making the critical phone call that started the big sweep of the corruption that had infected the California deaf leadership. Big thumbs up for that brave move!

He is a pillar of fire that will be forever burning in our hearts.

My condolences goes out to his family. I remember meeting 'Nubby' on one occasion or two, usually at a GLAD or OCDeaf function. I could easily tell by his mere presence that he was a Deaf leader in the Southern California Deaf scene.
