Lawsuit filed by former teammate

The Justice Department has joined a whistleblower lawsuit filed by a former teammate of cyclist Lance Armstrong, an Armstrong attorney confirmed.

Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles by international cycling's governing body in October after a damning report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency accused him and his team of the "most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program" in cycling history.

He first admitted using performance enhancing drugs and blood doping during a January television interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The USADA banned Armstrong, 41, for life but said the ban could be reduced to eight years if he cooperated under oath with investigators. On Wednesday, an attorney said Armstrong will not cooperate with the USADA investigation of performance-enhancing drug use in the sport.

As it should be...the man went on TV just to gloat about how long he pulled off the lies. The DOJ should go after the baseball players as well. They seem to think this is a rite of passage for playing in the professional league.

Go easy on the poor man

They worst part is that he defrauded taxpayers. He was sponsored by USPS

I don't know that Lance used performance drugs and blood doping until he admitted it.

Now, it is much worse, also USPS and other sponsors didn't know Lance used those drugs until now.
