That was one of the biggest drawbacks being orally mainstreamed..those reports that I have to give a lecture in front of the class. Someone toldme that the kids would look forward to whenever I lecture cuz they would make bets on how many words I would mispronounce. I felt so sick to my stomach when my friend told me that afterwards. I told the teacher that there would be no more oral presentations for me and to go ahead and give me an F on those reports. I got called to the principal's office for that and they told me that I need to learn to ingore the kids. Yea, right! If I knew ASL or was in an ASL program, I wouldnt had this problem at all. :roll:
