The Sorenson Video Relay Service Co. (VRS) discusses the advantages of a VRS system for deaf and hard-of-hearing people 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb 27, at the Prescott Public Library, 215 E. Goodwin St., in Prescott.

"The VRS helps me as a hard-of-hearing person with a Cochlear implant by being able to watch the interpreter for the deaf verbalize the words and do sign language at the same time on the television screen so that I can lip-read," said client Jack Clevenger.

"For the deaf person, they can converse with the other party via watching the interpreter on the television screen. It is pretty amazing technology and it is all free."
