I would like your opinions on the differences between CT and NY...
I am still living in Southwestern Connecticut and I don't see deaf people much around my town. I know about ASD in Hartford, but my future goal for after college is to be around with D/HH population, because I am standing between deaf and hearing worlds, and I get frustrated all the time, since many people in my area tend to forget that I am deaf!
Rochester has a lot of deaf/hh but the problem is that if I want to move up there, I would have to wait up to 6 months for NY social services to approve Personal Care Assistance Waiver (I am also physically disabled and on Medicaid)
