ZVRS and Convo are willing to give you a number for when you visit family? For example, I live in Chicago, but my family lives in Southern IL, so ZVRS gave me an area code for that purpose, but you have to ask them first if it's okay, though.
 
Does your parents have VP? Why would you need more than one number? I use the same area code via texting when traveling to more than 1 state.
 
Good question. I like to use local area codes when I'm home, and now I have a couple of them, but I probably won't be able to use them much, because of limited 3G reception where I will be.
