SCIENTISTS MAKE SHOCKING DISCOVERY!
On February 30th, 2003, the now-defunct Lunar Orbiter VII was launched. It took thousands of pictures of an area on the dark side of the moon as it made several passes over it.
Over the following months, scientists pored over these thousands of pictures. It was only recently that they made a very shocking discovery. Deaftown.com has acquired a few of those pictures which are shown on the right.
At first, the scientists thought their discovery was just a series of ridges caused by ancient volanic activities. That is, until someone remarked how much the strange rock formations looked like Earth's universal sign-language of "I love you". The "I love you" hand sign is created by keeping your thumb, index finger, and pinky finger straight while keeping your middle finger and ring finger bent down towards your palm.
"I Love You"
sign
Scientists have not yet determined whether the formation is natural or man-made. One scientist joked, "It would seem that the moon people are telling us that they are peaceful and that they love us!"
