Aloha Folks-

I produce a surf video podcast called "The Hawaii surf session report", it's free
In my latest episode, w/subtitles, I profile Tatsuro Ota san, a deaf Japanese surfer and a master miniature surfboard designer, who came to the north shore of oahu Hawaii to surf and found a piece of the community that was missing and voluntarily filled the void. Ota san, decided fix the world famous Haleiwa sign.

The surfer in the middle of the welcome sign had been stolen and the other two signs were stolen with nothing remaining. But the one sign that did remain was missing the miniature surfer statuette in the wave. Ota san, a shaper himself, took it upon himself to replace what thieves couldn't steal...

....The surfers stoke!

To this day, every time I drive by that sign, I see tourists' cars pulled over to the side of the road to take a picture of the world famous sign having no idea that a humble man from japan fixed it and brought the once great sign back to life.

The guys who provide some of the music like the steelers too
they are from Pennsylvania.
Also I did a SUPER BOWL SPECIAL called super bowls and waves
and the theme was surfers predictions for the big game
it was 5 to 2 Pittsburg.
Pretty good guess for surfers.
