The second annual Deaf Studies Today! conference will be April 6-8 at Utah Valley State College.

Most of the lectures and workshops during the conference will be given in American Sign Language. Voice interpreting will be provided.

Prominent deaf poet and actor Patrick Graybill, one of the conference's keynote speakers, will conduct a session for children who are deaf or have deaf parents. The production will not have voice interpreting. In addition, UVSC graduate McCall Bateman Cannon will present her senior thesis about portrayals of deaf people in film.

For more information and to register for the conference, go to www.deafstudies.org or contact the UVSC ASL and Deaf Studies Department at (801) 863-8529.
