About the author:

Russell Kane is the author of Fighting the Long Sorrow. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Hofstra University and a Master’s in deaf education from Gallaudet University. Mr. Kane has immersed himself in deaf culture and was transformed by his own Deaf President Now (DPN) experience. He has served as a consultant for organizations, individuals, and corporations because of his expertise as an educator. He now resides in New York and teaches ASL full-time at a community college.
