I am new to this message board. Wow, I sure wish I found it sooner!
But, glad to be here now all the same.
I am a deaf parent and I write about deaf parenting for a newspaper called SIGNews ( http://www.signews.org/ ). I am currently writing about deaf parents specifically trying to conceive or give birth to deaf babies. I feel this is an important issue to discuss in deaf parenting and what I read of this issue is often a negative tone towards deaf parents for wanting this. I am completely OBJECTIVE with this story and plan to interview a variety of medical professionals both for and against this. I will also talk about how some deaf parents will terminate the pregnancy upon discovering their baby can hear.
I assure you that strict anonymity will be granted if there is anyone here willing to be interviewed on this subject. I really need deaf parents who are both for and against this.
