A 21-year-old deaf man was killed in a house fire in East Los Angeles Monday, authorities said.
The fire at 631 S. Fraser St. occurred about 2 a.m., according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The man died at the scene. Damage to the one-bedroom, single-family home was estimated at $100,000, said Art Marrujo, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
There were no other injuries. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
