A deaf driver was done in by notes that he and a drug dealer allegedly passed to each other during a transaction.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, a 57-year-old Flint man was pulled over Thursday evening in the area of Hayes Park and James St.
Officers say they found notes that the deaf driver and a drug dealer had written to each other regarding a drug buy. The driver, alone in the vehicle at the time, told police that he had picked up a person who tried to sell him drugs, but that he did not buy any.
Officers later found a small quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana in the car.
The driver was arrested for possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended, and on four outstanding warrants.
