Deaf man attacked by teens | | The Australian
A PROFOUNDLY deaf man has been kicked and punched by a group of teenagers in suburban Canberra.
The man, 48, was attacked by a group of four teenagers, believed to be between 16 and 18, early yesterday morning, police said.
He was unable to provide police with a good description of the four youths because he was attacked from behind and they were all wearing hoods.
The attack took place at about 4.30am (AEST) outside the man's garage in the suburb of Phillip.
The man was taken to Canberra Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
Anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
