CUMBRIA Deaf Association has received £1,250 from CFM Radio to help make life better for the children it cares for.

Charity workers Caroline Bickerton and Amy Forster were handed a cheque from CFM Radio DJ Pete Moss.

The money came from the Carlisle-based radio station’s Help A CFM Child appeal.

Caroline and Amy’s main areas of work are to organise educational and recreational activities for about 50 deaf children and their families.

They recently went on holiday to Keswick and took part in activities like horse riding, abseiling, climbing, swimming and sailing on Bassenthwaite Lake.
