COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Kevin Hall used to be known as Ohio State's deaf golfer. Now he's known as the Buckeyes' best golfer.

Hall, who won the Big Ten tournament recently by 11 strokes and earned himself a standing ovation at the awards ceremony, leads Ohio State into the NCAA Central Regional Championships, which began Thursday morning.

"If you want to say him winning is special because a deaf player won the Big Ten, that's fine," teammate Zach Doran said. "If you want to say it's special because Kevin's black and it's unusual for a minority to win the Big Ten, that's fine, too. But the bottom line is he's a great player. He lapped the field."

The NCAA Central Regional Championships are being played at Purdue University's Kampen Course. To qualify for the NCAA Championships, Hall and the Buckeyes must finish in the top 10 of the 54-hole event, which concludes Saturday.

I love golfing , i like going realy early in the morning and hearing the birds churping...and i also love hearing the ball hit the club

I actually thought that I'd be a great
Golf player and bought the brand new
golf club... but unfortunately I realize
my mistake that Golf is NOT really
my bag... so I'm thinking about
selling my beautiful Golf club set
for women. It's called "Tommy Armour"

I wish that I could play Golf more, but
my heart isn't into any Golf.. sigh....

I do play the golf and I know someone does golfing so I will be her cabbie! haha
