Forty-eight golfers from 30 different states have come to Far Oaks golf Club in Caseyville, Ill., for the U.S. Deaf Golf Championships.

"There really is no disadvantage to being a deaf golfer. You just can't hear somebody yell, 'fore,'" said tournament director Rob Strano.

Clearly the guy to watch is Kevin Hall and he didn't disappoint Tuesday.

He shot a bogey-free 68, which gave him a 7-shot lead.

Golf is his love and passion.

"It's a challenge. It's the challenge of the game," said Hall.

You love what you are good at and make no mistakes. Hall is plenty good at golf.

Three years ago, he won the Big Ten Conference championship by 11 shots. He has already played in five PGA events.

"To arrive at the PGA Tour -- that's my goal," said Hall.
