Deaf and blind dog stolen from Bleakholt (From Lancashire Telegraph)
A DEAF and blind dog, less than one-year-old, has been stolen from a Rossendale animal sanctuary.
Lilly, a young English bull terrier, was taken from her kennel at the Edenfield animal home Bleakholt.
Security cameras caught the intruder roaming around the site before breaking into Lilly’s kennel and escaping with the dog. It is thought he could have been prowling around for around four hours.
Lilly is 11-months-old and is completely deaf, blind in one eye and has a serious digestive problem that requires careful and regular treatment.
Bleakholt’s manager, Neil Martin, said: “This dog has very special needs.
"I feel only contempt for someone who would remove her from the care she needs.”
Anyone who knows about Lilly’s whereabouts is asked to call Bury police on 0161 856 8015 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
