If you gonna have fun for watching the Super bowl,, here some snacks you can eat while watching the game!! HAVE FUN!
Cream Cheese and Bacon Pinwheels
Prep: 20 mins Cook: 20 mins Ready in: 40 mins
Ingredients:
5 slices Peppered or regular platter bacon
1 8oz Package Cream cheese, or light cream cheese
3 green onions, chopped green parts only
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
3 Tablespoons Sour Cream or light sour cream
1/3-1 Package Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix
Cooking Instructions:
Mix soup mix with cream cheese and let sit while you chop bacon and saute until crispy, but not overcooked. Add bacon to cream cheese and add chopped green onion and sour cream Stir until well mixed. Break crescent dough into triangles and smooth edged together to form a rectangle. Make sure all the edges are sealed, and roll slightly if necessary, with rolling pin to form triangle area. Spread cream cheese mixture onto rectangle and roll up jelly roll style. Score with sharp knife into 8 or 10 slices and place on greased baking sheet in 350 degree oven. Bake until golden. Remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes. Slice thru and serve on platter.
Notes:
This recipe is a great appetizer or after school snack. Its rich, chewy and filling. The bacon and green onions add great flavor, along with the soup mix. A very nice variation on the typical spinach dip in a bread bowl!
