It wasn't very long ago
I lost my sight I didn't know
How could I go on
Now I've met my newest friend
A four-legged angel named Benson
He gave me the strength to carry on

Many other people have friends like mine
Four-legged angels that changed their lives
They gained their independence back
Many of us used to walk with canes
Working with the dogs just isn't the same
We gained our independence back

The Guide Dogs give us the freedom to walk alone
Its' a freedom most of us have never known
There's no doubt in my mind
That these dogs will change our lives
Now we can conquer the world on our own

Now here we are on the very last day
We've learned all the tricks of the trade
Now we're heading home with our friends
Back to our homes
Back to our lives
Back to our children, husbands and wives
With one more loved one on whom we can depend

The guide dogs give us the freedom to walk alone
It's a freedom most of us have never known
There's no doubt in my mind
That these dogs will change our lives
Now we can conquer the world on our own

PS. As you can see how Jason having very little vision left must have felt. He used to be a musician!! The tri-grad included people with Hearing Impairments, Sight Impairments, and a variety of Disability Impairments.

So when you are feeling down or low not knowing what will happen or where to go; think about these valued friends and maybe if you think about it hard enough you will try to obtain one. I have "NEO" a Hearing Guide Dog that completly turned my life around. I wish to anyone trying for such a dog, all the success in the world.
