More U.S. states find traces of radiation from Japan - CNN.com

PFH - you better start build a dome bunker. :laugh2:

"The levels detected so far aren't harmful to human health."

That article you provided is under the headline-"After radiation spike, tests show tap water safe for babies in Tokyo." :hmm:

Have anyone read this cool link from xkcd? :hmm:

Oh I believe it. But the radiation levels are looooooooooooow. That doesn't say anything about danger from Japan...just says how high tech our technology is. :dunno:

Dont believe it.CNN sucks anyway♥♥♥

why not? it's true. as theoracle said - the radiation level is very low. a tiny trace of it. your xray radiation level is much higher.

Already they must discard milk and spinach from that area. Is it impossible for any dangerous level to reach here?

impossible? no
possible? yes but unlikely

The only way dangerous amounts of radiation would reach that far is if all of Japan's nuke plants went up simultaneously like Chernobyl did. But the difference is that Fukushima has/had a containment vessel. Chernobyl did not. I was told that the Chernobyl radiation actually went around the globe a couple of times before finally dissipating but the dangerous levels were mainly in parts of Ukraine, Belarus, parts of Europe and Russia.

Don't go outside while rain!!! :eek3:

Just on my local news, they think the core was breached and dangerous levels of radiation are spreading outward.

There seems to be 10000 times the safe level of radiation in water on the floor of the plant where two workers stepped, and they will probably die.

Radiation levels

I dont get much free time here in this Rehab place but when i do Im either on here or reading news..I still can't really watch tv thank goodness I was never a big fan anyway...my point being..everyone's feelings are valid...we just dont know and may never know how much and what levelos of radiation where released. I think this has been an event that will affect alot of ppl in different ways. I know Japan will try to keep rad escape to a minimum, if that's possible. Let's all keep positive wishes in our hearts and minds and hope this will serve to remind the world we are all in this together..we are
one people, one planet,,and each of us must recognize the importance of our contributions to a safer, cleaner more peaceful world....Midnight♥♥♥
OT....
laughing and I know..."You may say I'm a dreamer..but i'm not the only one..
I hope some day you will join us, and this world can live as ONE."

I am more concerned about the nuke plant in Seabrook , NH which is less than 10 miles from my home! There was a threat some years back that it was going to get bombed! We had the coast guide guiding the plant !

Sounds like bad news for Japan.

As the rads get worse....it will be interesting to see the effect of traveling (immediately) over salt water......
