I just went to a local coffee shop, and they have a tipping jar or if you pay by card, then you can leave a tip if you want. I am not for tipping coffee shops if they are paid a normal wage unlike waitresses and waiters who don't. I know that the transaction is still pending to be cleared by the bank, but I saw it posted as $3.72 instead of $3.10 that I signed for. This is a 20 percent tip.
I ordered a white mocha latte and it tasted just like hot chocolate. I was trying to find out if it would taste similar to white chocolate mocha from starbucks.
Why do they have tipping jars?
The bank told me to wait until they receive the receipt to accept what I approved. They say that sometimes the card machine will automatically add tips.
This happened at a hair salon I went to and they added automatically 20 percent when I separately tipped in cash.
I just thought right now that instead of leaving the lines for adding tips blank. I should add zero and total the original amount so that the bank sees that I didn't add any tip.
