The sign language choir at the Montana School for the Deaf and the Blind is raising money to go to Salt Lake City.
They will perform there with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
The 29-member "Expressions of Silence" was asked to join in a performance of the song "Thank God for Kids" on April 21st at a conference of The National Association for Music Education.
The group has raised roughly eight-thousand dollars toward the trip and needs another seven-thousand. A fund-raising performance will be held April 8th in Great Falls.
"Expressions of Silence" was invited to the Salt Lake conference after association member Dennis Granlie submitted an audition tape. He's a retired music supervisor in the Great Falls Public Schools.
