Yes it's been 10 years already.

I received a letter today from our super efficent Census Bureau letting me know I would be receiving a letter from them next week. Wondering if I should send them a letter (by UPS of course) saying "duh"
 
We got our "pre" census letter today, too. What a waste of money!
 
Got ours today as well. :roll:
 
I thought it was the census. I was surprised at the note, considering it is also advertised on television at least once a day.

I dont think so. It is better for them to send pre census letters than send real one cuz i have send alike 30 letters back to them with stamp saying vacant, ank or nmr. Next week we will get real one hopefully they send only to those who live on the addresses. Still more to come tomorrow and rest of this week. I only deliver 1/4 of them today.

Our envelope had the wrong town on the address.

The street address and ZIP were correct.
The name of the town was not our town but the next one over.
The last two digits of the ZIPs are completely different.

You might get empty lots because addresses are sometimes assigned before the houses are built.

In the previous town that we lived, our new house had the street address changed three times. We were 99, then 101, then 103. There was one empty lot between our lot and the corner. The builder/developer assigned the first number, the county changed it to the second number, and then the post office decided on the final number. It was a real pain to keep changing the numbers on our house, mail box, checks, address labels, etc., and notifying our friends and relatives, the bank, utilities, etc. They would say, "did you move?"
 
I haven't get mail about Census yet.

Here where I live, we have 4 towns with same zip code from one Post Office. Next Post office about 7 miles away with different zip code also have three towns in the area. Sometime they send to this address with wrong town but same zip code which I knew it is this town but not other town.This town has been stopped growth 10 years ago and things are still same to this day. Except for those people who turn the garage into rental home which it is illegal and still want me to deliver to two mailboxes. I got only one mail for that address not with two house on one property.I dont know how it will work on census. Interest. Also there is one area with no zip code area,and those people have to go to PO to get their mails at PO Box. I got census for those addresses with PO zip code which it should not have come. I guess those census workers will have to go their houses this summer.
 
I wonder about them counting 10 people in this house...who's responsible for this? I guess the management? I have NEVER filled out a census form in my life.

I think the data might be avialable for release in 2011 at the earliest since they're counting for April 15, 2010 population.
 
I got the long form census in 2000. Filled out the first 2 lines and sent it in......Been on the lamb ever since.....lol
