I have news for everyone - I will be gone from Tues morn the 13th till late at night the following week (return on the 20th).
I will be in Montreal from 13-17th and 18-20th in Quebec.......
I wont be able to go online and want to let you know so you dont think I disappeared also if there is anyone who went to French Canada please any advice or tips where to go will be appreciated......
 
oh really, for your vacation?? ask Freaky, she know about French langauge. enhjoy your trip in Montreal, Canada.
 
Will try to go to the NY one someday, my best friend took pics of the store for me and text me while he was in there so it was like I was there in spirit...... and got me a baby phat souvenier - nail decals of the cat symbol...

First of all, don't assume that all French Canadians can speak English. At least ask them "Parlez vous anglais?"
Montréal is very bilingual, and has a wonderful underground shopping network for those endless winters. Mont Royal gives you wonderful view of the city from above.
Québec has a beautiful Old Town. Take some time to stroll through the Old Town and enjoy the atmosphere there! Chateau Frontenac is also great to visit.

:laugh2: I was born in France and my mom graduated from the Universite de Paris.....french is not a prob for us but I am worried about where to go - recommendations of the best place to go, to party, to eat, etc. good place to shop so I can buy souveniers for my friends.....
 
oh i see, I went to Montreal for many time during my checking up with Dr. in Shriner Hospital.
 
Old Town in Québec is a great shopping place, if you like cute store boutiques and souvenirs. I remember also a beautiful Esmiko/Native-Canadian art gallery where the Inuits made beautiful objets d'arts. In Sainte-Foy, which is just outside Québec, there is a big mall full of stores!

I'll have to get back to you about Montréal. All I can remember is that at McGill University, or close to it, there is a multi-level shopping centre, which connects to the underground network and the métro. Can't remember the name.
 
what to wear?? what do they wear up in Canada.....my friends said to bring jacket and sweat shirts...... but I want to bring up some sexy clothes....is it the same fashion as in America or are they more French style??? cuz if french style- I have some clothes from Paris.
 
Really, Canadians dress similar to Americans, but I think they dress a bit better than the Americans. Just be yourself, but be sure to bring a jacket in case if you are cold. It is not like California at all :laugh2:
 
well do as normal regular clothes, as you usually. it is nothing effect different.
 
Phat, you gotta to chill a little bit. Don't worry about how you look in these "outcased" clothes. ;)
 
too bad will miss the JULY Canada Deaf Federation convention :( I was hoping to meet a few deaf people........
 
yesssssssssss it is alot of deaf people there, but for me I never meet any deaf in Montreal yet. oh boy. that's time I was young boy.

yes I am vain and materialistic......I care about how I look... oh well... I want to make sure I fit in not look weird..... at the same time stand out as a beauty :cool:
 
BabyPhat, remmy... don't said "huh?" to Canadian. Because it's rude. Use "eh?" which is good. :mrgreen:
