I came across brief article of "Atomic Battery" in old Encyclopedia under Batteries (dated back in 1968) while I was reading it for fun of it. It's called Strongtuim-90 battery which is small battery that had been in experiment back in the 50's and 60's and used it for satellites. As I researched through website and found out that Russian use it for powering the lighthouses and as a thermonuclear generators. It may be interesting to note that it last 26 years.

While I researches, I found Betavoltatic battery! It was rather interesting that it'll last 30 years, no need charge. It is harmless because it does not emit radiation because it's a Beta radiation which cannot penetrate through paper. The real problem is that battery last 30 years for laptop but many people would replace laptops every 3 years and don't know what to do with Beltavoltatic battery.

It be very very nice if that battery can power Hearing Aid and CI for 30 years!! This will save us tons of money and environments on batteries. :giggle:

If Betavoltatic battery being used for flashlight, I'm sure you'll replace LED or incandescent bulbs alot over the lifetime. It would be a very nice to have betavoltatic batteries to power the house without worry for 30 years!

Yeah, It says it uses Trituim which half life last approximately 12 years. It's still part of radioactive material but very small. Much safer than Strongtuim-90 :lol:

Trituim are currently used on military watches. I've seen $600 watch that my supervisor bought and told me that it glows for 24 years without any recharge. I told him that Trituim is radioactive but very tedious. It's a Beta radiation. He got spooked and took off the watch (cuz he's a health freak) :giggle: I told him it's not gonna to kill you!! Just knock it off!! :giggle:


It would be very nice to power the house without worrying about electric bills, run electric car forever (the only stop are when one had to go to bathroom :giggle: ) and lot of uses without batteries waste.

I sure home that one day that we get to live to see free energy aboard across the USA.

But the downside are that Oil co, Utility co, and Governments would find a way to charge a fee just for using free energy device. It's typical of them being greedy.

Like my dad told me, He doesn't believe in saving energy. I asked him why? He said once everyone using CFS (spiral bulbs), improve insulation and buy energy efficient appliance, At first, they will see electric and gas bill drops. But Utility co will make an excuses to jack up price because they are losing money. It make no difference in trying to save energy. I understand his point but to me.. I just prefer save energy while I can to save some money.

If I had an generator that runs without any source of fuel, I would feed back to Utility line and they'll pay me monthly. It's perfectly legal to have meter spin backward when you are producing electricity. Or just cut off utility except water and sewer, I would save tons of money as long as utility don't go after my money for not having their electricity hooked to my home. :giggle:

If you live on mountains area, you'll be very lucky. You don't have to rely on utilities.

I've heard 12v DC home (but they still use 120v A/C inverter to power some appliance). They use 2 or 3 banks of batteries from their car and plugged it to their house. They had to watch Ammeter/hr to be sure that they are not penalize (draining out) their car battery.
With today's technology such as LED lights (white LEDs), and appliance that don't use 120v A/C are capable to power the house using car batteries. But with Betavoltatic and LitroEnergy power cells, It would be neat to have them so we don't have to watch out for battery drainage!

If this is true, then why are there no mass productions of consumer products using these super batteries?

After all, we're "trying" to make the earth go green...
 
That sounds too good to be true...I'll believe when I see it. :P
 
Yup, Something's wrong with pictures. WE have technology that can produce electricity almost forever for free while we are stilll paying utility!
