Ashley Beghtel of Beaverton was crowned Miss Deaf Oregon on June 23. The competition was held at the Salem Conference Center.
Runners-up include first runner-up Man-Sze Fong of Portland, second runner-up Brenna DeBartolo of Salem and third runner up Kara Brown-Catron of Portland. The contest was hosted by the Oregon Association of the Deaf, Inc.
Beghtel will advance to the Miss Deaf America pageant at the National Association of the Deaf conference. Beghtel will hold the crown of Miss Deaf Oregon until 2009.
