I recently bought BB Curve from Sprintrelay.com that have Sprint tv, Facebook, Sprint Navigation, Handigo PocketExpress and more. I am on Unlimited data plan now. I am wondering if any of U recently bought BB Curve last month when it came out in Sprintrelay and did U used Sprint Tv. Are there monthly fee for it? I forgot to ask Rep about it.

Let me know

I just called Sprint Tech service about the Sprint tv. Actually it's under MobiTV. She said it would cost $9.99 a month extra to use Sprint tv. My unlimited data plan (whoever bought BB from Sprintrelay store.) doesn't include Sprint TV usage. So I told her that I will delete the Sprint TV. She made a note on my account that if there are any charge made from SprintTV, they will credit it.

Just FYI.

Sprint tv is pointless, Very limit coverage, not same as data coverage and no subtitle/CC.

Yup, It's pointless unless I watch action movie. I don't mind watching CSI without CC or watch Science Channel to watch Mythbuster, Survivorman, ect..just to kill boredom at my work during downtime. SprintTV monthly Fees just kills my mood.. No thanks! to monthly fees. Not worth it.

I am currently trying to convert DVD movie into smaller format fit for BB Curve. I downloaded and installed DVD Catalyst 3 for Blackberry on my PC. After converting movie for nearly 1hr 15 min (movie itself is 1hr 15min anyway) and I transferred to my BB's Flash microSD via USB (treated like a flash drive when plugged BB Curve with it's USB to PC's USB). I ran it and I get error message! Grrr!!

Problem is that it's a AVI format. My BB should accept that but I do see 3gp file format. I will have to try that but DVD Catalyst 3 don't have 3gp format. I will have to switch over to different DVD converter. All DVD Converter does have subtitles setting that I can set subtitle. I can read fine prints no problem.

If I get it working, I would let you know

BB Curve can play video for several hours so that's enuf juice for 2 hours movie. I have charger backed up if in case it runs low.

$10 per monthly is so cheaper, what's deal with you? Oh right, you broke everything to waste of your money.

Don't call LOL, ROFL, LAMO, etc...

I have 2 mobile service, total is... $110.00 per monthly.

Yeah, it's pointless at all. It would be nice if it come with ATSC over the air. Then it would be awesome. Unfortunately, it may not able to have decorder in that kind tiny television.

BB Curve can do AVI, 3gp, and several formats. I'm going to try different file format which will work with Curve. If it works then I'm sticking with it

I successfully got my BB Curve to run 2 hours movie!! NICE!!

I use dvd to bb converter and be sure it's .mp4 format. Previously, The Amerisoft's DVD to BB don't have file format selection, it's stuck to .avi. I use DVD Catalyst 3 and able to select .mp4 file format. There are several .mp4 to choose on the list such as .mp4 (ipod), .mp4 (psp), .mp4 (mp2) ect. I chose .mp4 (ipod) anyway and still works with my BB's media player just fine. BB use 320x240 video format. The video setup I chose is a "square" plus remove bars top and bottom. I use English subtitles and there are option for "nicer" subtitle. Be sure the speed is pre-set to 600 kpbs, not 800kbps (BB Curve's maximum settings) cuz it'll cause error message (I tried 800 kpbs just for my lust of it but it ran sloow then "crashed" w/ error in short time ). It doesn't have adjustment for Frame Per Second that I wish for, I want to set it to 30 fps for smooth movie. It look like it's running at 20 to 24 fps which are okay. It ran in a full screen on my BB!! (I checkmarked "full screen" in BB media options)

I converted DVD movie to smaller format and it only take 680mb space on BB's 1GB MicroSD ( I didn't have much pix anyway!). I learned that BB Curve (newer version like mine) can take up to 8GB MicroSD. Plug the BB to PC's usb via USB cable and it will act like a drive (like drive (F) for example). Be sure the BB's Media Card setting in Option--Media Card set to "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected to YES. In that way it's easier for PC to detect and open MicroSD's file. BEFORE REMOVING USB cable, BE SURE TO "Safety Remove Hardwares" (Left click on "safety remove hardware" icon and select BB's MicroSD drive and disable it before UNplugging USB)so that you won't damage or corrupt the MicroSD card...

Depending on your CPU's speed. If you ar using a regular fast PC from 800mhz up to 2.0 ghz, it'll copy exactly length of time of movie or faster with faster CPU speed. If you have Dual or Quad Core CPU with Hypertreading, It's a plus cuz software is pre-configured to convert movie at a superfast speed.. (many DVD converters brands already have those configuration depending on your PC).

I enjoyed watching cc movies and will be able to take it to work! This keeping me entertained!! I don't have to worry about missing movies that my wife rents that I never watched cuz I didn't have time to watch during weekday.
