New Vision Online : Barclays helps the deaf
Barclays Bank last week donated 10 computers to Uganda Society for the Deaf Vocational Training School in Namirembe, Kampala.
This was part of the 200 computers that the bank and the Digital Links donated to various girl-child schools.
Joseph Walusimbi, the head of corporate affairs, said the bank engages in community projects through partnerships and employee participation.
“We dedicate 1% of our annual profits to charity,” Walusimbi said.
