I was new to a clinic over on Lincoln Ave, and they were checking men out for the first time, and all was going well, until....

The nurse practitioner checked my knees, and the left one responded fine, but my right one, which had been damaged not that long ago, was being stubborn, and it took several taps with that orange thingy they use for the knees, and I was about to warn the guy to be careful when he gave it a firm tap, and my foot jerked up right into his nuts. Well, he dropped to his knees, and I told him I'd been trying to warn him to be careful. Now they knew.

That doesn't sound right. A reflex kick is not hard enough to kick him that hard in the nuts for him to drop down to his knees. Also what practitioner in his right mind would stand so close right where the leg would kick on that spot?

Mine stands on the side next to me.

He was new. I didn't know that, and I think it was his first time, but not sure.

And he tapped it several times, with no response, so he tapped it harder, and that happened. I swear it happened.

I have to agree. In the years I've been working in the hospital I don't think I've ever heard of a doctor, PA or RN stating, nor have I ever seen a reflex kick actually kick someone hard. :hmm: I suppose anything is possible...

Ah, well. It was odd, I'll admit it. Think he was nervous and forgot that part.
