THE Mid West office of the National Association for Deaf People are bringing their Mobile Resource Unit (MRU) to a number of locations in Limerick City and county.

The voluntary organisation are hoping to raise awareness of deafness and acquired hearing loss. They will provide information on deafness and the origination's services, including equipment and other supports. Basic hearing checks will also be carried out free of charge to members of the public.

The unit will visit Newcastle West on Tuesday, September 27 between 10am and 4pm and Abbeyfeale on Wednesday, September 28, between 10am and 4pm. It will visit Croom on Thursday, September 29 between 10am and 4pm and will be in Limerick City outside Pennys on Friday, September 30 between 10am and 4pm.

The National Association for Deaf People are a national voluntary organisation providing community based services to deaf and hard of hearing people and their families.
