Are there any deaf people who have had experiences as retirees living in a foreign country?

In particular, I'm looking for deaf people who have worked in public administration (not necessarily in the American or Italian government) and who have decided to move to a foreign country, perhaps the Caribbean, or wherever. I'd really like to understand this aspect!
