Saw this on another site and forum I read, this is cool information.

Apple wants its 3G MacBook prototype back | Apple Talk - CNET News

in 2007, Apple made 3G prototype of macbook so you can use simcard for internet access. Very cool. However, they are acting like assh*les to the guy who got it - he is a hardware repair technician, he bought it off craiglist from an unnamed apple employee. He listed it on ebay and bids went up to $70,000. Then apple intervened and killed the ebay auction. Now apple wants it back.

Pics. It's true prototype model since you can see red PCB not the retail green.

Wonder if macbook will get 3G sometime later. This tech is 4 years or older now.. :hmm:

Yeah it would be cool if it came with 3g/4g technology built in so they can go on wireless on the fly without looking for wifi hot spots. Great for busy travelers.

It's not that useful because there are a bunch of USB wireless 3g adapters for laptops as an option.

I saw it before.

Probably Apple killed it and use iPad with 3G which better than macbook with 3G for battery life. :dunno:

Most Apple Macbook hardwares are black or blue, not just not green.
