Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here! My name is Jennifer Perry and I'm 26. I'm deaf in my right ear and have a moderate loss in my left. I am now learning ASL with the two coolest teachers ever! I go to school at mt. sac college in walnut, ca. I have been out of my parents house for awhile now and I have only been able to find hearing people with rooms for rent. I HATE 
living with hearing people. They are so mean to me. Every little noise I make and here they come running. Not only that but they take advantage of me big time. Like I noticed they are coming into my room when I am in the shower or something just to be nosy. Not to mention they don't understand the term deaf cuz I grew up oral (not by my choice believe me!) so I do talk fairly well. They will talk to me when I'm not looking at them and stuff and then get mad at me. it doesn't matter how many times I try to explain to them either. They are just plain stupid. This happens to me no matter where I live too. I just want to feel I belong somewhere and not have to be on pins and needles 24/7. So my question is does anyone know of any listings...or if your in my area and know of anyone...with roommate positions for deaf people that would be with either deaf people or hh people. I'm looking for something in the walnut,pomona,west covina, covina, mt. sac/cal poly close. I'm willing to pay up to $475 a month.
