Anyone else lives in Dallas, Texas ?

I would like to ask some question about Dallas, TX.
 
I dont live in Dallas - but I have friends who do.
 
Oh well... My older son will be moving to Dallas, TX next two weeks. I was so freaking because the city is really HUGE... He will have an interview several jobs... I was hoping that I know someone who live in that local to give him some support due to homesick. His step-Dad passed away last November 2006. He has a girlfriend in Grapevine, TX but... I just concern to seeing him to be isolate because he does not know anyone out there...

I just scared to let him go... thousand miles away from me. :cry:

Oh wow... I saw the pictures of Dallas. I flabbergasted to seeing huge city and it is really beautiful. Hopefully, my son will be happier to live there. He may goes to college when he will be settle down with new job, apartment, etc... I pray that he will make good friends (right group).

ohh i undy how ur feeling abt this.. i know it hard for u let him go.. :) so my best friend live abt 2 hrs from Dallas.. i went here and yea it so huge city wow..

Are you kidding? You're talk about Dallas as one of gamma world city, they got everything beyond than average.

BTW, I used to live in Dallas for some years. I must say I miss there. Only if my job is nearly there. Then yay, I want to live at uptown.

If your son is hearing, society is frickin anywhere.

Yes, he is hearing.... sign very well... extremely brilliant young man... He is very interact and friendly person to meet many new people. I pray that he will be successful in his career and education. Naturally, I will be worry about him everyday. I love and cherish him to death as my baby !

yes, I know how you feel, same as my mom worried about me. Your son will be fine as long as they're not live southern Dallas.
 
My grandma is from suburb of Dallas, also haven't been here since 2005 or so.

Yup, I had noticed about bad side in South Dallas.

No, he will be moving to a suburb called Grapvine, Texas.

lets hope he get good group. sure there is something to do, ur son will be happier to active down there.
 
also Grapevine is NICE place to sight.... I know Dallas has gain with more HWY and streets become pkwy... that makes me crazy... not reason i moved out.... no, not that reason... :lol:

it was so nice and I live north suburb (carrollton/f.branch)

My son will be leaving for Dallas this coming Friday morning. He will only stay there for a week to explore around jobs, friends, school, etc... I want to see him to see it for himself FIRST ! Job is more priority, find a good roommate then apartment.

He apparently excitied to fly down to Dallas, TX for a week ! I will keep you posted.
