...for equipment in canada, NB to be spicific, i have tried relentlsy and i cant get the govt, to pay for equipment o tmake my apartment accessable, and my landlord does not want to allow a dog for the deaf, as my housing co-op does not allow dogs. they would allow one for th blind i bet ya, but they dont want to allow one for the deaf. weird eh, well if anyone knows of any funding let me know thx
well im not sure bout inew brunswick but here in ontario we have something called Assistive Devices Program by the gov't and they will pay for certain devices to fit your disability if you need them. I got part of my ha covered my ADP and my fm system as well (the school paid for the rest of fm cost). I checked out gnb.ca and they didn't have anyting similar that i could see. But no doubt, your audi should know! I found out about adp thru intensive google searches and then my audi told me bout it too
Also the thing with the dog, if you were to get a written letter stating your need and want for a hearing dog for safety, ease, etc. I am almost positive your landlord cannot say no! It's not like your getting a dog for fun (although it can be an uleterior motive!) *grins devishly* lol JK but you should check into that cuz i really don't think ur landlord can do that no matter wat policy is since it is for a medical reason
