What's with all these crashes during the month of August in 2005?

There was another aeroplane crash, this time in Peru.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4178868.stm

This is the fifth air tragedy for August 2005.
There were 11 US citizens abroad.

The other 4 crashes were:
1) Air France crashing in Toronto
2) aeroplane crashing into the Mediterrean Sea
3) Greek "flying coffin" tragedy
4) Venezuela air crash

About 358 lives lost in the month of August 2005.

I know it sounds "strange" and "suspicious" ( sp ?? ).
But, what do you think ?

As for me, I know there must be somethin' that's goin' to happen. After Israelis moved out of Gaza Strip.... all the world changed and the things that are more stranger than before. I don't want to say it here, because it may sound far-fetchin' to some of AD'ers, dependin' on their views.... so, it is best to leave anythin' unsaid. :)

wow, I´m agree that it´s conidence that 4 planes accidents in the same month  Scary situation

The crash in Toronto was more of a miracle than a tragedy because not one single person got killed and all got out of the airplane within a minute.

A bad month for fliers, I hope this is the last one for a long, long time.

You do have a point, as everyone survived the crash in Toronto. Yet, one must feel all shaken up after being through a crash like that.

I did a research, and so far, all I could see was that it was the only time that 5 major aircraft crashed in a month, except for the Sept 11 attacks where 4 aeroplanes crashed on same day in the US.

True, though everybody was happy to be alive. I did see the actual airplane a few days after it crashed. It was left intact just right next to the highway I was passing through.

Amazing how these people managed to survive a crash like that.

This isn't shocking to me. It's sad news, yes, but not shocking.

Many of the airplanes in use today are fairly old. Maintenence costs, repair costs, and reliablility of these planes is being pushed to the limits.

I like flying and I wish it would be 100% safe. However, sad as it is to say, anytime I get on a plane, I always have to be prepared that I may not walk out of it. Makes you appreciate life that much more.

I hope all those airline crash victim's families can get through these tragedies okay.

3 crashes.... Fewer died..
1 crashes.... Broke record ALLLLLLLLLL ALIVE very much..

Impressive what... Toronto Just careless due the weather..

I got informaiton from the news which there's only hit by weather wind strongly... In my opnion road is wet includes too.

I remember 1985 was the worst year ever, lots of planes crashes, because I was catching one to Australia from London - my very first long trip!

I don't think I'll ever fly again.. I'm too chicken sh*t.. ever since the WTC..I couldn't just get my foot on the plane. Alot has happened in August, I noticed. Its amazing that the one in Toronto, everyone had survived!
