So, I just wanted to share this with you.
I read xda and do some coding to customize my android sometimes. Recently I read this thread: Apps for the Hearing Impaired and Deaf - xda-developers
If you don't know what xda is it's the central for modifying, improving, custom and altering android phones.
It seems there's interest in making deaf-specific rom for android. It got me thinking there is a lot that can be done like disable or route the phone dialer and calls for one thing.
There's already SMS backup and handcent for syncing SMS and text messages, something I don't think is possible on iOS yet unless jailbroken.
The more I see it, the more possible it seems android is truly a good market for deaf phone users than apple's iphones IF development is done for it.
One thing is I don't think there is a standard android phone all deaf people use, so that might be a problem.
