American School for the Deaf fundraiser at Barnes & Noble, Apr. 12 - News - West Hartford News
Support the American School for the Deaf by shopping at Barnes & Noble, Blue Back Square in West Hartford, on Tuesday, April 12, in an effort to raise funds for their school.
Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of sales to the school when customers use a special book fair voucher. Vouchers are available through the school.
The store will be hosting events and programs presented by ASD students beginning at 10:30 a.m. Events include a special reading of “Through Sophie’s Eyes” at 3 p.m. by Catherine Gibson who was inspired to write a book about a deaf dancer after taking sign language classes at ASD. Other offerings include mini sign language classes and a display of student artwork. Check the ASD website, American School for the Deaf for details and schedule.
